One of the best things to do in Ramgarh is to enjoy the peace and quiet, especially because this is a welcome change for people who are used to a lot of city noises and chaos. With views of the sun setting over the mountains, which adds a filter to the surrounding that no photo app can replicate, streams running past tiled homes, and grazing animals dotting the landscape, it is no wonder that many great writers found their inspiration in this region.

  While we have everything sorted for the laidback travellers, active tourists will also have a host of things to do here. If you are among the latter, we recommend you make your way to the Tagore Top, where it is believed that Rabindranath Tagore stayed during his first visit to Ramgarh. However, be warned that the way to reach Tagore Point requires a trek of at least 4 kms, most of which is uphill. Although not much remains of the cottage, except a few flat stones around an old oak tree and the ruins of a dilapidated fireplaces, the scenic vistas of mountains and valleys around the place, will make up for your effort in more ways than one.
